An eighth grade teacher in Texas resigned after being arrested on Friday for allegedly sending sexually explicit messages and photos to a 15-year-old on Instagram, according to multiple reports. Sean Dalton Marquez was arrested on charges related to lewd acts on a child younger than 14 years of age.   In a statement, the Kendall Center said, “As soon as we were made aware of the incident, we took immediate action to ensure everyone’s safety, including contacting local law enforcement and terminating the employee.” Marquez’s next court date is set for Jan. 8, 2024.

The boy said he regularly got called to Schutte’s office throughout the rest of the school year and missed class at times. Jason L. Endress, 44, was arrested July 25, 2023 and had a preliminary hearing Wednesday, Aug. 16, 2023 in Ogle County court, where he is charged with criminal sexual assault and aggravated criminal sexual abuse. The Ogle County Sheriff’s Department received a call June 23 from Emily Cross, chief operating officer of the Blackhawk Area Council, who said the organization’s hotline received a call with the allegations, Lt. A former Boy Scouts leader has been charged with sexually abusing a minor in Salem over several years. Prosecutors charged Terry J. Heck, 56 of Salem, on Friday with first-degree sexual abuse, first-degree online sexual corruption of a child and luring a minor, according to court documents. The charges allege that Heck subjected a boy to sexual contact between January 2017 and July 2023.  The victim was 11 years old when the abuse began.

This isn’t Fruzia’s first alleged victim either. The 50-year-old is named in a federal lawsuit against the Boy Scouts of America. According to the 2020 lawsuit, an anonymous victim accuses Fruzia of sexually assaulting him 20 to 30 times over the course of five years, starting in 1991. The alleged abuse began when the victim was 11-years-old. Fruzia was his boy scouts' assistant troop leader.
