Officers in Newark, Delaware arrested a former Boy Scouts leader who was connected with sexual abuse within the organization across the country. Gary Matta, 66, was arrested in his home last Thursday, according to officials. Matta was charged with serial sexual abuse.

Houston police say sex crime charges have been filed against a man who was a scout leader with the Boy Scouts of America in the Spring area. Peter Collins Simpson, 28, an employee of the Boy Scouts of America has been arrested for sex abuse of a minor in Molalla, Oregon according to police. On Feb. 1, a Molalla Police officer was on patrol when he came across a car after hours at a park. The officer interviewed the driver identified as 28-year-old Peter Collins Simpson. Boy Scout volunteer, David Lee Nelson, 41, of Redmond, Wash. admitted to hiding cameras in S Bar F Scout Ranch bathrooms and pleaded guilty to two counts of production of child pornography and two counts of attempted production of child pornography.  The charges carry a mandatory minimum sentence of 15 years in prison, followed by a term of supervised release of up to life.
