On February 15, 2024, State Police in Lowville arrested 24-year-old Dylan C. Hoch Sr. of Glenfield, NY for Predatory Sexual Assault Against a Child (A-2 felony) and Endangering The Welfare of a Child (A-misdemeanor). Mr. Hoch is accused of engaging in sexual intercourse on 10 occasions over the course of two years, with a female child, who was between the ages of 10 and 12 at the time of the incidents. Hoch was arraigned in Lewis County CAP court and remanded to the Lewis County Public Safety Building in lieu of $50,000 cash bail. 

A Child Solicitation Sting conducted in Greenwood, Indiana from Nov. 28 – Nov. 30, 2023 has resulted in 21 men, including a public servant, being arrested.

Brad Benson, a candidate in Tuesday’s Granbury city council election, was arrested Monday morning on felony charges of possession of child pornography, according to Hood County Jail records. Benson’s family business is Cinergy Cinemas with nine theater/entertainment complexes in four states. In 2018, Benson was named as a lifetime member of the Granbury volunteer fire department for his many years of answering emergency calls throughout Hood County. He also served on the Granbury Airport Advisory board and the Hood County Crime Stoppers board.

A Granbury city council candidate was arrested on Monday on accusations of possession of child pornography.
