A former Miami Public Schools teacher has been charged following alleged sexual misconduct involving students. Kanyen Derris Cole, 28, is charged with three counts of soliciting sexual conduct with a minor and one count of sexual battery. According to court documents, Cole was employed at Miami Public Schools from August 2022 until May 2023 as a coach and teacher. He's alleged to have abused at least three victims while he worked there.

The former YMCA director and former Parkersburg High School Girls Tennis coach was sentenced to two years in jail on Thursday. Jeff Olson, 53, appeared before Wood County Circuit Judge Robert Waters for sentencing after he entered into a plea agreement on Feb. 1 where he pleaded guilty to distribution and exhibition of a minor engaged in sexually explicit conduct.

Christopher Chell, 46, was arrested on charges of lewd and lascivious molestation following an investigation into the teacher.  Chell, a teacher at St. Patrick Interparish School, had allegedly gained the trust of several middle school girls.  Over a couple of months, Chell reportedly engaged in "a pattern of behavior that escalated from inappropriate touching to criminal acts," the Gainesville Police Department said.
