The former YMCA director and former Parkersburg High School Girls Tennis coach was sentenced to two years in jail on Thursday. Jeff Olson, 53, appeared before Wood County Circuit Judge Robert Waters for sentencing after he entered into a plea agreement on Feb. 1 where he pleaded guilty to distribution and exhibition of a minor engaged in sexually explicit conduct.

Christopher Chell, 46, was arrested on charges of lewd and lascivious molestation following an investigation into the teacher.  Chell, a teacher at St. Patrick Interparish School, had allegedly gained the trust of several middle school girls.  Over a couple of months, Chell reportedly engaged in "a pattern of behavior that escalated from inappropriate touching to criminal acts," the Gainesville Police Department said. 

- Richard Alcalade, 26, was arrested Tuesday, according to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office (PCSO). - A private school teacher and coach in Lakeland was accused of having an inappropriate relationship with a student. - Alcalde was hired as teacher and boys’ soccer coach at Star Athletes Academy, located at 3151 Hardin Combee Road in Lakeland, in August 2023.
