- He was recaptured without incident by a county police department team that was following up on a lead, Sgt. Tracy Panus, a police spokesperson, said in an email.
- Boyd is serving a 30-year sentence for a 2007 conviction of felony enticement of a child from Greene County.
- The State Highway Patrol, which maintains the state’s sex offender registry, said Boyd committed first-degree statutory sodomy in October 1996, when the victim was 11 and he was 18.
