- Samuel Max Dubois Jr., 51, has been charged with first-degree sexual offense, taking indecent liberties with a child and being a fugitive from justice. He was arrested in Los Angeles last week by North Carolina correction officials as he got off an airplane arriving from Mexico.Dubois is being held under no bond in the Guilford County jail in High Point. Dubois was expected to go on trial in connection with the sexual assault of two 12-year-old boys from High Point.
- Police say Dubois served three years in prison in Alaska in the early 1980s for sexually assaulting a child. He also has been convicted in California on similar charges, police say.

- Authorities also say Dubois has sexual assault charges pending against him in Alaska. He is charged, they say, with sexually assaulting four boys - ages 9 to 13 - from 1985 to 1988.
