LUFKIN, Texas (KTRE/Gray News) - A former Texas teacher has been sentenced to prison after pleading guilty to the charges she faced.
Former Wells ISD teacher Hillary Danielle Williams, 34, pleaded guilty Tuesday to bestiality; possession with intent to promote child pornography; and indecency with a child, sexual contact.
Judge Todd Kassaw handed down Williams’s sentence, which includes 20 years on the sexual contact charge, 20 years on the child pornography charge and two years on the bestiality charge.
Officials did not immediately say whether the sentences would be served concurrently or consecutively.
Williams and her boyfriend, Michael Scott McCary, 38, were arrested last February after authorities said evidence on McCary’s cellphone showed pornographic images involving a child and a dog.
According to an arrest affidavit, a child reported last year that Williams had touched her inappropriately. Williams was arrested on that charge.
Williams tendered her resignation from Wells ISD in February 2025.
