In January 2026, Christian singer Stacie Orrico sued Britt Ham for sexually abusing her as a child from 2000-2004. Ham is a former Kanakuk staff member and K-LIFE affiliate who, according to this civil complaint, acted as her manager.
Ham was employed on Kanakuk’s K-Wet team in at least 1993, has been affiliated with K-LIFE Highland Park in Dallas, Texas, and met his wife at Kanakuk, where Orrico attended camp. Ham was reportedly known by the nickname “Ham Burger” during his employment at Kanakuk. Ham has regularly attended Kanakuk and K-LIFE fundraisers and alumni events and his wife is close friends with Debbie-Jo and Joe White’s daughter, Jamie Jo. Britt Ham is a graduate of the University of Missouri.
According to the civil complaint, Ham originally met Orrico while serving as a judge for a Christian music talent competition, which she won in 1998 at the age of 12. Ham began serving as her manager in 1999 as an employee of Rocketown Management, LLC, founded by Michael W. Smith, and later under his own company Britt Huston LLC. Michael W. Smith, known at Kanakuk as “Smitty,” has written annual theme songs for the camp and shared a private plane with Joe White as well as enjoying a cabin on K-2 property.
Ham worked at Trine Aerospace from 2005-2018, starting with the company in Los Angeles. After purchasing the company with other investors in 2012, Ham became the CEO/President and moved its headquarters to Colorado Springs. In 2018, Ham began working with Business Jet, based in Dallas, beginning as the Managing Director of Business Jet Services, and later serving as the COO. During Ham’s tenure at Business Jet, the company employed Joe White’s (Kanakuk’s President and CEO) grandson as a pilot.
