A former Tipton County teacher was indicted for sexual misconduct involving as many as 21 potential victims, according to the Covington Police Department (CPD).

Alissa McCommon, 38, of Covington, was indicted Tuesday on 23 counts of sexual misconduct against minors, including Rape of a Child, after a seven-month joint investigation, officials said.

Police said that the children's ages ranged between 12-17.
